About us

Team Iran FGC: Pioneering Innovation, Leadership, and Inclusivity on the Global Stage Founded in 2016, Team Iran FGC quickly rose to prominence in the robotics community. Their journey began with a significant achievement: securing first place in regional competitions and second place nationally, earning them the honor of representing Iran at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in India. Their exceptional performance not only earned accolades but also captured the attention of the FIRST Global Challenge organizers, leading to an invitation to compete in Washington D.C. in 2017. Since their debut, Team Iran has become a consistent and distinguished presence at the FIRST Global Challenge, earning numerous awards and recognition year after year. Their success, however, extends far beyond technical achievements. Over the past seven years, Team Iran has become a symbol of inclusivity, providing opportunities to hundreds of students from diverse cultural, religious, social, and gender backgrounds across Iran. Their commitment to inclusivity is further highlighted by their efforts to integrate Afghan refugee children into their programs, giving these young individuals a platform to explore robotics and fostering a sense of belonging and purpose. Team Iran’s mission transcends robotics; it is dedicated to developing creative, socially conscious leaders who are equipped to address regional and global challenges, particularly those related to the environment. The team’s approach ensures that students acquire not only technical expertise in engineering but also essential life skills such as teamwork, project management, leadership, public relations, and networking. These young innovators are encouraged to apply their knowledge and skills on an international level, driving meaningful change in their communities and beyond. The success of Team Iran is driven by the dedication of its volunteer coaches and mentors, who bring expertise in areas such as multimedia, fundraising, personal development, art, and critical thinking. These mentors play a crucial role in shaping the students’ growth, both in the competition arena and in their personal lives, fostering a spirit of global collaboration and solidarity. Their commitment helps Iranian youth make significant strides on the world stage, bringing honor and pride to their homeland. Team Iran FGC is more than just a robotics team—it is a beacon of innovation, leadership, and inclusivity. Through their tireless efforts, they continue to inspire the next generation of problem solvers and leaders, showcasing the power of unity, creativity, and dedication to making a positive impact in the world.
